Background Experience & Education College: Dartmouth and Allegany Colleges, B.A. Business Administration. General Motors for 5 years. U.S. Army 2 years Moved to Northern Michigan in 1959 and have been in business for myself ever since. Built homes and cottages. Bought a lakeside resort hotel and ran it for 13 years. Past 20 years in Real Estate in Northern Michigan with many courses in commercial & residential Real Estate. Specialties In my Real Estate career I have chosen to put the emphasis on doing unusual transactions that require listings across the Upper Peninsula as well as development of land to return the most on the seller's investment. While most of my sales have been in the Petoskey area, I enjoy working in all areas. I have a good background in Commercial Real Estate and from time to time assist people in starting their first business. Personal My wife Betsy and I have been blessed with three wonderful children. One of them is living in Iowa with his son. One of our daughters lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and our other daughter lives in Cross Village with her son. I have been active in my township, serving on various boards over the past 40 years, and spend as much time as possible with Rotary International at the local and district level. In the past I have been a decon at the First Presbyterian church in Petoskey. I have also served on committees for the Petoskey Chamber of Commerce. I have found Northern Michigan a great place to raise my family. It is a safe area with Middle America values. The outdoors is beautiful and we enjoy recreation year round.
